Who is
Dawson FUss
A Santa Barbara native, 19-year-old Dawson Fuss has been singing his entire life, propelling him to release his first single “Hey You” at the age of 16 and his debut EP “edge of adolescence” later that year. Dawson is not just a singer, but rather an artist whose vision is woven through all aspects of his work.
His unique indie-pop sound is influenced by artists such as Ruel, Conan Gray, and Jeremy Zucker. In a recent newspaper interview, Dawson explained, “[music is] so much of who I am. I think it’s really a part of everybody. Everyone has the inner soundtrack of their life that makes them who they are.”
As he matures, Dawson’s passion for music continues to flourish, leading him to attend the Modern Artist Development and Entrepreneurship program at the prestigious Frost School of Music at the University of Miami. His music explores themes of confusion and challenges as he struggles with the difficulties of adolescence and balancing the sharp edge between being a kid and becoming an adult.
When Dawson isn’t creating music, he’s exploring other mediums of art that he’s passionate about, including photography and cinematography. His keen eye for visual storytelling has allowed Dawson to be integrally involved in all aspects of his work, including photography, graphic design, and marketing materials, as well as directing and co-directing several of his music videos.
Dawson is a dedicated, passionate artist with a deep desire to share his music and has just released his Sophomore EP, MAYBE, which dropped on Feb. 22, 2024.
